ABOUT US
MemoirCast works with Pougatch Media to bring you the very best in storytelling.

Mark Pougatch - Interviewer
I’m currently ITV’s chief sports presenter, anchoring their coverage of the Rugby and Football World Cups, the 6 Nations and the League Cup.
I’ve spent the last thirty years covering every major sporting event for BBC radio and television, which has been as much fun as it sounds.
Away from the commentary box I love goats, history, growing vegetables, making bread, and finding out what makes people tick.

Aasmah Mir - Interviewer
I've been interviewing people for almost 25 years - on 'Saturday Live' on Radio 4 alongside the Reverend Richard Coles, on Radio 5 Live, and most recently on the Breakfast Show on Times Radio. It's the best bit of my job - but interviewing real people rather than politicians or celebrities is always more rewarding and fun.
Away from the microphone, I'm unhealthily obsessed with homes and interiors and love to cook and bake for the fussiest and sassiest nine year old known to mankind.
I had my own memoir published last year so I know how precious and important family stories are and I can't wait to help tell yours.

Paddy O'Connell - Interviewer
I’m Paddy O’Connell from your Sunday morning radio. Each week, I host Broadcasting House on Radio Four and Newsnight on BBC 2.
But for years I’ve also been recording the experiences and life stories of my family and older relatives. A treasure for me is my late Mum collapsing in laughter with an old friend from her days as a Wren at Bletchley Park. I also keep an old dictation recording of my Dad who died when I was eleven years old.

Sybil Ruscoe - Interviewer
I’ve been lucky to work on some legendary BBC programmes, from Radio 4’s The Archers to Top of the Pops and the Radio 1 Breakfast Show. My first interviews, for local newspapers and radio, included chatting live to the pilot of Concorde as we flew over Shropshire. I hosted a show on BBC Radio 5 Live and fronted Channel 4’s cricket coverage, interviewing everyone from Dolly Parton to Pelé. I’ve also presented BBC Radio 4’s Farming Today.
Outside work, I’ll be on my allotment or playing golf.
In 2021, I was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant for Gloucestershire.

James Alexander-Sinclair - Interviewer
I have been a gardener for about forty years and have designed gardens all over the place. I am also a writer and have contributed articles to most garden publications with regular columns in Gardeners' World Magazine and on Scribehound Gardening. I have hosted theatres at all the RHS Flower Shows and have presented television programmes for the BBC, Channel 4 and Netflix.
I am an RHS Vice President, a Gardens Judge at the Chelsea Flower Show and a Fellow of the Society of Garden and Landscape Designers.
When not working I am most likely to be gardening!

Cornelius Lysaght - Interviewer
After spending nearly thirty years at BBC Sport specialising in horse racing I am now a freelance broadcaster and writer working for a variety of clients.
My work has taken me to many major sporting occasions but also lots of smaller events, and being able to tell stories big and small about interesting people is a continuing pleasure.
Away from the course, I am a fan of history, British and Irish travel and Everton FC.

Victoria Pougatch - Producer
I believe that to interview well is an art form, so I have brought together a team of fabulous broadcasters to give real people the opportunity to have their stories told expertly. My primary role is as the producer for MemoirCast and Pougatch Media.
I’m also a writer with experience editing and writing websites, documentary pitches, proposals and books, and run a writing for business workshop. I have worked as a literary agent, a secondary school English teacher and have an M.A. in creative writing.
Away from my desk you will find me in the garden, dipping into cold water or attempting to make things out of clay.
